Fall Risk & Mobility Age Score

Use a few simple home tests to estimate fall risk and how your mobility compares to your actual age.


Sit in a chair, stand up, walk 10 feet (3m), turn, return, and sit. Time from “go” to sitting again.

From a chair without using arms, stand fully and sit as many times as possible in 30 seconds.

Stand on one leg, eyes open, arms at side if possible. Stop timing when you put the foot down or grab support (max 60s).

Think of a standard indoor flight of stairs (10–14 steps).

1 = not at all worried, 5 = extremely worried, often avoid activities because of fear.
